I started playing around with an idea to use the Salt Water fabrics that I have. 6.5" plus signs in an 8.5" block so I can rotate the block and stagger the placement of the plus.
I think I will need to make a few more blocks to decide if I like it well enough for the next quilt.
My daughter helped me make another flag for
To Boston With Love. She drew a few hearts and picked the placement of the hearts. Beyond that, watching Winnie the Pooh was much more her speed this weekend. We went to another Make it Together sewing class, Felted Flower Headbands. She designed her headband, but had too much fun with the spinning chair that she wasn't super helpful sewing the flowers on the headband. She's worn the headband nearly every possible minute of the past two days.
As for progress on my three goals for May, my Starburst 2 quilt is now basted and ready for quilting. The backing for the Fruitcake strings quilt is ordered, the paper has been removed, and the quilt has been pressed in preparation for basting. I have not yet touched the blue HST. I'm hoping to start quilting the Starburst quilt in the evenings this week after work. Hope you all had a great Mother's Day weekend.
