Summer Sampler Star

Star
Of course she picked blue again as the main fabric followed by red.  She's making herself a bright, vibrant rainbow quilt just like she wants.  How do I let a 4 year old choose the fabric?  I ask her what color she wants for a certain spot.  Then she gets about 4 fabrics of that color to choose from.  I'm waiting on a few scrap packs to show up which should help her have more to choose from.

The piecing wasn't too difficult but I did manage to trim one of the white sections just a little too small so I will need to fudge the seam allowance when sashing.  Faith's directions were really clear and it certainly is helpful to cut large pieces and have lots of scraps rather than just barely having enough to cover the sections.

And I need to clean the interfacing residue off my iron.  Argh.
